WEBVTT 00:00:01.280 --> 00:00:04.720 welcome to uic college of  nursing's online presentation   00:00:04.720 --> 00:00:07.120 on our bachelor of science in nursing program 00:00:09.200 --> 00:00:13.680 i'm michael belke assistant director of  recruitment for uic college of nursing   00:00:13.680 --> 00:00:16.800 thank you for your interest  in our traditional bsn program   00:00:16.800 --> 00:00:21.760 if you have any questions about the content of  this video please feel free to contact me directly   00:00:21.760 --> 00:00:28.800 preferably through email at mbehlke@uic.edu  you may also direct your questions to   00:00:30.320 --> 00:00:35.520 conapply@uic.edu you can find more information  about the college of nursing including   00:00:35.520 --> 00:00:39.920 all the information on the different graduate  programs we offer and all the incredible   00:00:39.920 --> 00:00:48.480 research that our faculty members are currently  conducting on our website at www.nursing.uic.edu 00:00:50.880 --> 00:00:55.840 this presentation will discuss what nursing is  the differences between the degrees and licenses   00:00:55.840 --> 00:01:02.640 associated with nursing provide an overview of uic  provide an overview of the college of nursing and   00:01:02.640 --> 00:01:07.440 the college of nursing's programs and then review  the admissions process for the college of nursing   00:01:09.360 --> 00:01:13.680 nursing is a varied health care field with  nursing responsibilities ranging from making acute   00:01:13.680 --> 00:01:19.680 treatment decisions to providing inoculations in  schools registered nurses provide patient care   00:01:19.680 --> 00:01:24.960 perform physical examinations and health  assessments educate patients and advise and   00:01:24.960 --> 00:01:30.240 provide advice and support to patients nursing is  a field that combines science and technology with   00:01:30.240 --> 00:01:35.360 art of caring and compassion nurses are lifelong  learners in order to keep up with the latest in   00:01:35.360 --> 00:01:40.400 medical and nursing sciences nurses work closely  with physicians and other healthcare professionals   00:01:40.960 --> 00:01:44.560 nurses administer patient medicines  and treatments they assess   00:01:44.560 --> 00:01:49.760 diagnose plan patient care implement the plan  and evaluate the progress of the patient plan 00:01:52.400 --> 00:01:55.840 after earning the degree  graduates of our bsn program   00:01:55.840 --> 00:02:00.160 must pass the nclex rn exam to obtain  their registered nursing license   00:02:00.720 --> 00:02:05.520 according to the united states bureau of  labor statistics occupational outlook handbook   00:02:05.520 --> 00:02:12.960 the median national annual salary for  registered nurses in 2020 with 75 330 dollars   00:02:13.520 --> 00:02:20.800 with almost 3.1 million jobs the actual salaries  may vary depending on location years of experience   00:02:20.800 --> 00:02:25.600 and a variety of other factors employment of  registered nurses is projected to grow almost   00:02:25.600 --> 00:02:32.640 nine percent between 2020 and 2030 which is much  faster than the average for other occupations 00:02:35.440 --> 00:02:39.600 so there's different levels of nursing  education ranging from a certified nursing   00:02:39.600 --> 00:02:46.480 assistant to a doctoral program such as a dnp or  phd program so there's the the certified nursing   00:02:46.480 --> 00:02:52.720 assistant program which is usually a semester at a  community college or a private private cna program   00:02:53.360 --> 00:02:58.400 there's the lpn which is a licensed practical  nurse which we do not offer at uic college of   00:02:58.400 --> 00:03:03.600 nursing we also do not offer ADN program  which is associate's degree in nursing   00:03:03.600 --> 00:03:10.080 but we do offer the bsn the also the rn to  bsn program for applicants that are already   00:03:10.080 --> 00:03:16.160 nurses through an associate's program and then  there's the msn or ms degree in nursing programs   00:03:16.880 --> 00:03:23.360 the ms program at uic college of nursing  is a generalist master's ms in nursing   00:03:23.360 --> 00:03:27.680 so it doesn't offer the advanced practice focus  areas that you would find in the dnp program   00:03:28.320 --> 00:03:33.920 then there's different certificate options for  nursing such as the school nurse certificate and   00:03:33.920 --> 00:03:39.440 then the two doctoral programs is the dnp and  the phd program so there's different advanced   00:03:39.440 --> 00:03:44.480 practice focus areas you could find within dnp  programs such as like the fnp which is a family   00:03:44.480 --> 00:03:51.600 nurse practitioner or midwifery and then there's  the phd program which is more research focused 00:03:54.320 --> 00:03:58.960 the university of illinois at chicago is among  the nation's top research universities offering   00:03:58.960 --> 00:04:03.440 more than 80 undergraduate majors and has  all the major health science colleges such   00:04:03.440 --> 00:04:08.560 as the college of medicine and the college of  dentistry uic is mission focused on serving a   00:04:08.560 --> 00:04:14.080 diverse urban community and is the state's public  academic health center and the second largest   00:04:14.080 --> 00:04:21.520 university in the state of illinois with more than  34 000 students uic college of nursing offers bsn   00:04:21.520 --> 00:04:29.680 certificate ms dnp and phd programs and has  significant strength in research the bsn program   00:04:29.680 --> 00:04:37.280 is offered in three locations chicago springfield  and urbana illinois we're credited by the ccne   00:04:37.280 --> 00:04:42.880 which is a commission on collegiate nursing  education we're approved by the IDFPR which   00:04:42.880 --> 00:04:47.120 is illinois department of financial and  professional regulation we're a member   00:04:47.120 --> 00:04:52.960 of the aacn which is american association of  colleges of nursing and we're consistently   00:04:52.960 --> 00:04:59.120 ranked in the top 25 of all nursing schools in  the united states currently ranked at number 19   00:04:59.120 --> 00:05:05.920 by u.s news and world report and their rankings  of in 2022 of undergraduate nursing programs 00:05:08.240 --> 00:05:11.360 the mission of uic college of  nursing is a transform health   00:05:11.360 --> 00:05:15.120 healthcare and policy through  knowledge generation and translation   00:05:15.120 --> 00:05:18.080 and the education of future  leaders from diverse backgrounds 00:05:21.120 --> 00:05:25.040 students enrolled into the bsn  program here at uic college of nursing   00:05:25.040 --> 00:05:29.520 come into the program from three different paths  first many applicants are admitted to the program   00:05:29.520 --> 00:05:34.800 after taking the 16 prerequisite courses  at uic through another uic college such as   00:05:34.800 --> 00:05:39.040 the college of liberal arts and sciences other  applicants come into the program after taking   00:05:39.040 --> 00:05:44.320 the prerequisite courses outside of uic at a  community college or another for a university   00:05:44.880 --> 00:05:50.320 lastly we have a small number of students  that come into the program through uic's gppa   00:05:50.320 --> 00:05:57.200 program gppa stands for guaranteed professional  program admissions the gppa initiative allows   00:05:57.200 --> 00:06:02.080 a limited number of first-year students to be  admitted to uic with guaranteed admission to   00:06:02.080 --> 00:06:07.680 one of uic's graduate or professional degree  programs students follow specific curriculum   00:06:07.680 --> 00:06:13.040 and meet established performance criteria to  maintain their admission guarantee so for   00:06:13.040 --> 00:06:18.160 the gppa nursing program the gppa students  come into uic as a freshman honor student   00:06:18.160 --> 00:06:23.360 complete the prerequisite courses  through their first two years at uic and then   00:06:23.360 --> 00:06:27.920 they're saved a seat for their junior year as long  as they satisfy their conditions of acceptance   00:06:27.920 --> 00:06:34.960 such as maintaining a 3.4 cumulative cumulative  gpa while they're in their first two years at uic 00:06:38.720 --> 00:06:43.440 this full-time program only starts in fall  semesters and takes two years to complete   00:06:43.440 --> 00:06:48.880 with no summer required the curriculum is  a blend of clinical and didactic coursework   00:06:48.880 --> 00:06:53.040 we expect that nursing school is our student's  number one priority while they're in the program 00:06:55.600 --> 00:07:00.560 our bsn students start their clinical experiences  after the third week of their first semester for   00:07:00.560 --> 00:07:05.440 those first few weeks new students are learning  nursing assessment skills in our simulation lab   00:07:05.440 --> 00:07:10.480 before beginning their clinical assignments  each of those clinical rotations are roughly   00:07:10.480 --> 00:07:16.560 seven weeks long and typically include 12 to  16 hours of clinical time each week students   00:07:16.560 --> 00:07:21.360 are assigned two six to seven hour rotations  typically but there are some 12 hour rotations   00:07:22.000 --> 00:07:26.080 there are a variety of clinical locations  around the chicagoland area for bsn students   00:07:26.080 --> 00:07:30.320 attending the chicago location including  university of illinois medical center   00:07:31.120 --> 00:07:37.440 university-chicago hospital mcneil advocate and  lori's children's hospital urbana students are   00:07:37.440 --> 00:07:41.520 mainly at carl hospital and springfield students  are typically completing those clinicals and   00:07:41.520 --> 00:07:46.800 memorial hospital in springfield a lottery system  determines clinical placement and assignments   00:07:48.720 --> 00:07:54.320 launched by a generous 5 million donation from  m christine schwartz the college of nursing   00:07:54.320 --> 00:07:59.920 opened a new simulation lab in september  of 2019 the expanded m christine schwartz   00:07:59.920 --> 00:08:05.120 experimental learning and simulation lab  for which we broke ground in fall of 2017   00:08:05.840 --> 00:08:11.440 features 15 000 square feet of experimental  teaching and learning space all designed   00:08:11.440 --> 00:08:17.360 with students in mind a highlight of the lab is  the juanita and philip francis birthing suite   00:08:17.920 --> 00:08:24.400 generously funded by a 1 million dollar gift from  the francis's the new lab space includes a home   00:08:24.400 --> 00:08:29.280 care setting that will also allow instruction  on care for patients in home environments   00:08:30.000 --> 00:08:36.240 in addition to the birthing suite and home space  there are exam rooms standardized patient rooms   00:08:36.240 --> 00:08:42.240 control seminar debriefing rooms a new student  lounge a classroom big enough for 74 students   00:08:42.880 --> 00:08:48.240 a lactation room meditation room a laundry  room and additional office space for faculty 00:08:50.880 --> 00:08:55.920 the college of nursing offers career services  to current nursing students we provide resume   00:08:55.920 --> 00:09:01.360 workshops mock interview opportunities  we have an internal job board for for our   00:09:01.360 --> 00:09:07.120 student nurses we have a nurse manager panel  which is career advice from a panel of experts   00:09:07.120 --> 00:09:12.160 and we do have two job fairs every year once in  the fall semester and once in the spring semester 00:09:16.880 --> 00:09:21.600 the admission applications for uic college  of nursing's traditional bsn program   00:09:21.600 --> 00:09:28.800 are available between august of the prior year to  january 15th of the start year if you're ready to   00:09:28.800 --> 00:09:33.360 apply to the program and you are a current uic  student you could apply through the internal   00:09:33.360 --> 00:09:38.560 college of nursing application process and you can  request that internal application through the link   00:09:38.560 --> 00:09:44.480 on the slide if you are not a current uic student  you can apply to the program through uic's web   00:09:44.480 --> 00:09:50.320 application as a transfer applicant and you can  find that link to the application on the slide as   00:09:50.320 --> 00:09:58.400 well through the applynow.uic.edu website there's  no application fee if you're a current uic uiuc   00:09:58.400 --> 00:10:05.120 or uis student otherwise there is a 60 application  fee for transfer applicants so let's talk about   00:10:05.120 --> 00:10:10.960 some of the required documents that's required  for either application process such as the five   00:10:10.960 --> 00:10:16.000 essay questions there's five essay questions that  are built into the application you can also find   00:10:16.000 --> 00:10:22.480 those on our website at nursing.uic.edu there's  also a requirement to for every applicant to have   00:10:22.480 --> 00:10:27.760 two recommendations i would suggest that you use  a combination of academic as well as professional   00:10:28.400 --> 00:10:35.040 references so be an applicant you please list the  contact information for those two references on   00:10:35.040 --> 00:10:41.040 the application so that way the college will reach  out to those two recommendations uh recommenders   00:10:41.040 --> 00:10:46.640 to obtain the the letters recommendations from  those two recommenders they are also required   00:10:46.640 --> 00:10:52.000 to be submitted by the january 15th application  deadline so i would suggest that you do not wait   00:10:52.000 --> 00:10:56.800 until the last minute to list your recommenders on  the application because you want to make sure that   00:10:56.800 --> 00:11:04.400 you're giving them enough time you could also  send out reminders or change your recommender   00:11:04.400 --> 00:11:09.840 altogether on the application itself too so you  could always check your application status after   00:11:09.840 --> 00:11:14.880 you apply to ensure that those recommendations  are coming in in time we also have a   00:11:15.760 --> 00:11:22.800 prerequisite self-evaluation table built into the  application which is a table that lists the 16   00:11:23.520 --> 00:11:30.160 prerequisite courses for the bsn program and the  applicant lists the courses on the self-evaluation   00:11:30.160 --> 00:11:36.960 table that they took to fulfill each one of those  16 prerequisite categories and as a quick reminder   00:11:36.960 --> 00:11:42.720 please remember that the besides the upper  division elective those 16 prerequisite classes   00:11:42.720 --> 00:11:48.000 have to be completed by the end of the spring  semester that precedes at the start of the program   00:11:48.000 --> 00:11:53.840 okay we also have a resume requirement so  please upload your resume to the application   00:11:54.800 --> 00:12:01.280 and then we do require official transcripts  from all colleges and universities attended are   00:12:01.280 --> 00:12:05.680 submitted to uic admissions please do not submit  the transcripts to the college of nursing itself   00:12:06.320 --> 00:12:11.920 the official transcripts go to uic admissions  office at the 1200 west harrison address if   00:12:11.920 --> 00:12:17.280 you are applying as an internal application  internal applicant to do the internal application   00:12:18.160 --> 00:12:21.840 you do not have to submit your official  transcripts to uic admissions because   00:12:21.840 --> 00:12:26.560 they should already have that so please  upload a copy of your academic history   00:12:27.520 --> 00:12:32.800 in the appropriate section of the internal  application where it asks for those documents so   00:12:33.680 --> 00:12:37.600 if you're a transfer applicant again those  official transcripts are sent to uic admissions   00:12:37.600 --> 00:12:43.600 at 1200 west harrison and then if you're internet  applicant you would be uploading a copy of your   00:12:44.320 --> 00:12:46.880 academic history at uic to the application 00:12:50.560 --> 00:12:53.920 an admissions interview is a required  step within the application process   00:12:53.920 --> 00:12:58.720 and the bsn interviews are scheduled to be  conducted this year in mid to late february   00:12:58.720 --> 00:13:03.360 with the interview invitations scheduled  to be sent out at the beginning of february   00:13:03.360 --> 00:13:08.320 only qualified applicants that submitted fully  completed applications by the application deadline   00:13:08.320 --> 00:13:13.040 will be invited to interview each invited  applicant will participate in a small group   00:13:13.040 --> 00:13:18.000 interview with four to five applicants  with up to two faculty members there's   00:13:18.000 --> 00:13:21.760 also a small writing assignment that's  also part of that interview process 00:13:24.480 --> 00:13:29.520 this slide shows some of the prerequisite courses  that are uic's general education requirements   00:13:29.520 --> 00:13:37.520 such as the english composition 1 and 2 which is  our english comp 160 and 161 understand the past   00:13:37.520 --> 00:13:43.520 understand the creative arts understanding world  cultures individual and society and us society   00:13:44.320 --> 00:13:50.160 many of our applicants do take introduction to  psychology or introductory psychology for the   00:13:50.160 --> 00:13:55.040 individual and society prerequisite many of  our applicants also take intro to sociology   00:13:55.040 --> 00:14:00.320 or introductory sociology for the u.s society  prerequisite please click on the link at the   00:14:00.320 --> 00:14:04.560 bottom of this page for more information  about the general education requirements   00:14:04.560 --> 00:14:08.320 we do require applicants to come  in with at least 57 credit hours   00:14:09.200 --> 00:14:13.280 by the end of the spring semester of the year  they're applying for because basically students   00:14:13.280 --> 00:14:18.560 are coming in as rising juniors into our program  we do require that all these prerequisites except   00:14:18.560 --> 00:14:23.840 for the upper division elective to be completed by  the end of the spring semester preceding the start   00:14:23.840 --> 00:14:30.080 of the program for example if you are applying  for a program starting fall 2021 you would require   00:14:30.080 --> 00:14:34.080 those prerequisites except for the upper division  elective to be done by the end of the spring   00:14:34.080 --> 00:14:40.480 semester of 2021 and as i mentioned before in a  previous slide please use transferology.com to   00:14:40.480 --> 00:14:45.280 help determine which of the your transfer courses  would be acceptable for these prerequisites 00:14:48.720 --> 00:14:53.520 in addition to the general education courses  listed on the previous slide these are additional   00:14:53.520 --> 00:15:00.320 prerequisites for for our bsn program such as the  general chemistry with lab organic chemistry with   00:15:00.320 --> 00:15:07.600 lab anatomy of physiology 1 and 2 with lab and  microbiology as you can notice the microbiology   00:15:07.600 --> 00:15:12.800 science prerequisite is the only science  prerequisite that does not require a lab component   00:15:12.800 --> 00:15:18.720 we also do require applicants to have nutrition  statistics lifespan development or developmental   00:15:18.720 --> 00:15:24.000 psychology and the upper division elective now  once again the upper division elective can be   00:15:24.000 --> 00:15:29.360 taken after starting the bsn program however  we strongly encourage applicants to have that   00:15:29.360 --> 00:15:34.640 done prior to starting the program because then  they would have to add that class into already   00:15:34.640 --> 00:15:40.000 full-time bsn curriculum we do require applicants  to have at least three out of the five science   00:15:40.000 --> 00:15:46.080 prerequisite courses completed by the application  deadline of january 15th the last two prerequisite   00:15:46.080 --> 00:15:52.000 courses science prerequisite courses can be taken  that spring semester we do have a seven-year   00:15:52.000 --> 00:15:57.120 expiration on science prerequisites from the start  of the program for example if you are applying for   00:15:57.120 --> 00:16:03.840 fall 2021 those science prerequisite courses would  have to be taken from fall 2014 or more recently 00:16:06.880 --> 00:16:10.080 now i'd like to talk about the review  process here at the college of nursing   00:16:10.720 --> 00:16:14.960 the faculty admissions committee  looks at factors such as academics   00:16:14.960 --> 00:16:22.320 writing ability and nursing  suitability for all of our applicants 00:16:22.320 --> 00:16:27.120 regarding the academic consideration for admission  we do require that applicants have at least a   00:16:27.120 --> 00:16:34.560 2.75 cumulative gpa in a 2.5 science gpa the  cumulative gpa factors in all previous college   00:16:34.560 --> 00:16:40.240 courses completed by the application deadline  the science gpa considers only the five science   00:16:40.240 --> 00:16:46.240 prerequisite courses needed for the bsn program  if a science prerequisite course was retaken then   00:16:46.240 --> 00:16:51.600 we would factor in the most recently completed  grade as stated in my previous slide we do require   00:16:51.600 --> 00:16:55.600 that applicants have at least three of the five  science prerequisites completed by the january   00:16:55.600 --> 00:17:02.640 15th application deadline even though our minimum  cumulative gpa for maximum consideration is a 2.75   00:17:02.640 --> 00:17:07.120 the average admitted applicant  has has a 3.4 cumulative gpa 00:17:11.520 --> 00:17:15.120 regarding the writing ability consideration  for admission into the program   00:17:15.120 --> 00:17:19.920 our admissions committee does review each and  every one of the essay responses from the five   00:17:19.920 --> 00:17:24.800 essay questions listed on the application as  well as the responses on the writing assignment   00:17:24.800 --> 00:17:29.600 that applicants complete during the interview  process the admissions committee also looks at   00:17:29.600 --> 00:17:35.120 the communication ability of the applicants plus  the essay content of those five essay questions 00:17:39.920 --> 00:17:43.920 regarding the nursing suitability consideration  for admission into our bsn program   00:17:43.920 --> 00:17:48.160 the admissions committee considers  employment history volunteer experience   00:17:48.160 --> 00:17:53.120 leadership ability and also the two  letters recommendations again we ask   00:17:53.120 --> 00:17:57.840 that applicants list one academic as well as  one professional reference on their application   00:17:58.400 --> 00:18:03.280 the applicant's references are then sent to email  after the applicant lists those references on the   00:18:03.280 --> 00:18:07.600 application and the recommenders then submit  their responses through the email requests   00:18:07.600 --> 00:18:12.240 that they receive from the college of nursing  we do require that the recommendations are   00:18:12.240 --> 00:18:17.200 received by our office by the application  deadline of january 15th therefore you   00:18:17.200 --> 00:18:22.720 will want to enter in your recommender's contact  information well before the application deadline   00:18:22.720 --> 00:18:27.840 in order to provide your recommenders  enough time to respond to that email request 00:18:29.920 --> 00:18:33.760 listed on the screen is the most recent  tuition and fee information available   00:18:33.760 --> 00:18:39.360 for the chicago campus as you can see in-state  tuition and fees cost just under forty thousand   00:18:39.360 --> 00:18:44.320 dollars for the two-year program the student fees  in urbana and springfield are slightly different   00:18:44.880 --> 00:18:50.720 in addition to other financial aid that a student  may be receiving such as the federal pell grant   00:18:50.720 --> 00:18:57.040 or illinois map grant uic college of nursing  offers their own college of nursing scholarship   00:18:57.040 --> 00:19:01.760 the scholarship application opens in december  and the deadline is the beginning of march   00:19:02.480 --> 00:19:07.440 if you are applying to the program i would highly  recommend that you apply to the scholarship even   00:19:07.440 --> 00:19:12.080 though admission decisions would not have been  made by the scholarship application deadline   00:19:12.080 --> 00:19:15.600 you could find the scholarship application  through the link at the bottom of this page 00:19:18.080 --> 00:19:22.240 the college of nursing offers a college nursing  scholarship for applicants and current students   00:19:22.240 --> 00:19:26.240 the application for the scholarship opens  in december and the deadline to apply   00:19:26.240 --> 00:19:29.840 is early march please contact  my colleague monique williams at   00:19:29.840 --> 00:19:35.680 mwill8@uic.edu with any questions you  have about the college nursing scholarship   00:19:35.680 --> 00:19:41.120 one of the requirements to be considered for the  scholarship is to have completed fafsa on file   00:19:41.680 --> 00:19:48.480 you could visit financialaid.uic.edu for more  information about financial aid at uic you   00:19:48.480 --> 00:19:52.560 could also find more information pertaining to  the college of nursing scholarships including   00:19:52.560 --> 00:19:57.280 external nursing scholarships through the link  at the bottom of the slide so please click on   00:19:57.280 --> 00:20:01.840 the link for more information about scholarships  and external scholarships at college of nursing 00:20:04.640 --> 00:20:08.960 so again january 15th is the application  deadline regardless if you're applying as   00:20:08.960 --> 00:20:15.120 an internal applicant or a transfer applicant and  everything is required to be submitted by january   00:20:15.120 --> 00:20:20.960 15th including those transcripts as well as those  recommendations so right now if you are applying   00:20:20.960 --> 00:20:25.840 to the program make sure that you're finishing up  any prerequisite courses that you have outstanding   00:20:25.840 --> 00:20:31.120 again please be cognizant of the two uh deadlines  when it comes to the prerequisite courses   00:20:31.120 --> 00:20:35.760 one being that you have to have three of the  five science prerequisite courses completed   00:20:35.760 --> 00:20:40.640 by the january 15th application deadline and  then the rest of the prerequisite courses   00:20:40.640 --> 00:20:45.680 except for the upper division elective have  to be done by the end of the spring semester   00:20:45.680 --> 00:20:50.800 preceding the center of the program you also  want to start working on those essay questions   00:20:50.800 --> 00:20:55.280 as soon as possible connect with your recommenders  make sure that you're collecting the correct email   00:20:55.280 --> 00:21:00.480 addresses again if you're not providing us with  the correct email address for your recommenders   00:21:00.480 --> 00:21:05.200 they're not going to be getting the email  from us for their recommendation request   00:21:05.760 --> 00:21:08.880 so please make sure that you're  collecting that information accurately   00:21:09.520 --> 00:21:13.920 you could also check your application status after  you apply to make sure that those recommendations   00:21:13.920 --> 00:21:18.320 are being submitted by those two recommenders  that you use and also make sure that those   00:21:18.320 --> 00:21:23.440 transcripts are also received by january 15th so  if you're applying to the program we will need   00:21:23.440 --> 00:21:28.720 those false transcripts and if you're admitted  into the program you would also have to submit   00:21:28.720 --> 00:21:34.560 your spring spring transcripts if you're taking  any spring classes that that last spring semester   00:21:35.360 --> 00:21:40.000 so regardless again if you're applying as an  internal applicant or a transfer applicant   00:21:40.000 --> 00:21:44.080 please continue to check your application status  after you apply to make sure everything is   00:21:44.080 --> 00:21:49.680 marked as being
